Option 3: Pouch Mail

OPTION 3: Use Pouch Mail

For the cost of just one first class stamp you can write Elder Kanar while he is serving his mission in Ecuador simply by availing yourself to the Pouch Mail Service provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Utilizing the United States Postal Service (USPS), a letter sent from your hometown to the Church's headquarters in Salt Lake City, your letter becomes an included item in the Church's Pouch Mail that is sent out via a private courier each Friday (holidays notwithstanding) to the various missions throughout the world.

Please comply with the following instructions to ensure that your letter is accepted by Pouch Mail Service:
  1. Write your letter to Joshua on only one side of a single sheet of 8.5-inch x 11-inch paper.
  2. Lay the blank side of the single-sheet letter facing down with the writing facing up at you.
  3. Fold the top of the letter about one-third of the way down, and crease.
  4. Fold the bottom of the letter to the top of the first fold, and crease.
  5. Use two pieces of tape on the top to secure the folded sheet of paper, not more than one inch from each side, making sure to not seal the ends.
  6. In the top left corner, write your name and complete return address.
  7. Affix one First Class stamp in the top right corner.
In the middle of the folded sheet of paper write the following:
               Elder Joshua David Kanar
               Ecuador Quito North Mission
               P.O. Box 30150
               Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150
